Ken Annandale - CEO
Ken has been actively involved in Health & Safety training for over 25 years. Author the best-seller “Movers, Shakers, Moaners & Groaners” and “The 1 Minute Safety Manager”, Ken is a former drug-squad cop, Naval officer, NOSA Consultant, audiometrist, radio announcer and university group communication skills lecturer. He is the producer or presenter of various training videos. Married to Penny Jones, Ken is a team-building leader, scuba dive-master and Master FireWalk Facilitator. They are recipients of Toastmasters International Communication and Leadership Award.
Penny Jones- Financial Director
A BA Fine Arts graduate from the University of Cape Town with over 30 years experience in the field, Penny Jones is an international expert in stadium theatre, mass display choreography and logistics. A seasoned entrepreneur, Penny founded a promotional modeling agency and Ceremonies for Africa. She produced the 1999 All Africa Games and the 2003 Cricket World Cup Opening ceremonies. Married to Ken, Penny is co-founder and Financial Director of INTRA-SAFE
Birth of INTRA-TRAIN
Following 5 fascinating years at NOSA, Ken started the first privately owned safety training provider in South Africa back in 1990. Inspired by the replacement of the Factories Act by the Machinery & Occupational Safety Act and then by the current Occupational Health & Safety Act, INTRA-TRAIN expanded its reach into Africa. Collaborating with Intelvision, he presented or produced a dynamic series of videos, gaining acclaim as a trainer, speaker and lecturer. He discovered a talent for developing content-rich training material and training trainers and went on to become a popular motivational author and speaker.
His Management Key-note / Seminar / Workshop is based on his book “The One Minute SAFETY Manager” and is entitled “Mentors Notes – Lesson in Leadership for the One Minute SAFETY Manager”. The talk focuses on developing the OHS management growth-points identified in his book.
The ultimate goal of the book and talk is to share the critical principles of Health and Safety management, with CEOs, Managers and Supervisors.
